Honey for Sale

We think that we produce some of the best, natural honeys around and refer to it as “Very Local Honey” because it comes from our hometown of Princeton, New Jersey. For us, this is a labor of love, love of our environment, love of bees and love of great honey. As small-scale beekeepers, raising and handling our own bees, we take the time to manage our hive, coaxing the Girls (the Queen and all worker bees are female -go figure!) to produce the best honey possible!

Never Heated, Never Filtered, Hand Packed 100% Whole, Raw, Natural, Very Local Honey!

Over the course of the year, we can get variation in the honey color, density and taste based upon the available nectars of the seasons. From water whites (from the right), light ambers, pale ambers, medium ambers (left) along with ambers and dark ambers (almost black). We never know what type of honey they’ll bring in next and in fact, we have had water white come from one hive and another hive just a few feet away produce very dark amber at the same time! And once their gone, there gone until the next harvest! As a small artisanal producer, we have the luxury of being able to separate and grade honey, frame by frame, rather than just mixing it all together in big production runs. As they say, you get what you put into it!

In an effort to be sustainable with our packaging, we offer our honey in glass jars including the venerable Muth Jar and Hex Jars. By using glass rather than plastic, we can recycle the jars and keep unnecessary waste out of the landfills.

Originally produced by a large midwestern honey dealer, Charles Muth in the 1880’s, in 1 pound, 1/2 pound and 1/4-pound sizes. These beautiful jars add a touch of class to your table and are re-usable. A deposit is included in the price of the honey ($1.25 for the 1 lb., $.75 for the 1/2 lb. and $.50 for the 1/4 lb.) refundable on your next purchase (some people just want to keep the jars for other reuse) and we will sanitize and reuse all of our empty jars returned. The natural cork stopper can be composted or repurposed for things like a pin cushion or fishing bobbers (really-they work!)

We recent have been able to get the beautiful Hex Jars again after the Pandemic Supply Chain issues we experienced over the past few years. The simple elegance of the wide mouth Hex design and lower costs make these a great choice for the family table. They are available in both 12-ounce and 6-ounce sizes (by weight) and a refundable deposit of $.75 for the 12-ounce and $.50 for the 6-ounce.
